First let me start off by saying getting a hair transplant is not something anyone should be ashamed of male or female. This like any cosmetic surgery is to help with your self esteem and at the end of the day that's all that matters not someone else's opinion. When you do decide to go on that adventure, please do your research and consider Dr. Bret Bolton at Great Hair Transplants. I did a lot of research and even after selecting Dr. Bolton I was still nervous and skeptical. However, he is the best hands down. He explained the process and tells you the good and the bad, when I say the bad I mean what realistically you would expect. That said, he listened to my personal opinion and completely supported my decision of what I wanted to get. That was unbelievable and from that moment on he had my full trust. He wasn't trying to sell me anything or make it so I had to get another surgery. He was honest and understanding and I highly respected that. As to the actual surgery, I wont sugar coat it, the initial anesthesizing injections were the worst part. It does hurt a little, but nothing unbearable, but I can't express how awesome and professional him amd his team are. He would consistently ask if I needed a break or how I was doing and would stop if I asked at any point. Never once did he just keep going or told me that he "has" to keep going which shows his patience, respect and care for his patients need. His team was also very accomodating and quick to assist if I had any discomfort. Once the anesthesia was done he started the process and at any time I felt even a tiny pinch he made a point to anesthesize again so I didn't feel any pain. Shortly after I fell asleep and woke up to the entire procedure completely done. He did everything I asked for and more. He always tries to go above and beyond if he is able to and he certainly showed it with me. If I could give him 10 stars I would. I haven't seen my results as I just finished the surgery, but I had to share my experience. I am not getting any incentive or discount for doing this review, this was earned by him and his staff. It was still expensive as it is for any cosmetic surgery, but I don't regret Dr. Bolton as my surgeon. Please, please, please do your reasearch, look him up online he has plenty of videos and if you choose to do FUT, do it with Dr. Bolton you will not regret it. The results speak for themselves - absolutely uncanny. Like many others, I was naturally a skeptic of hair transplants and the results they could provide. I had already undergone a FUE transplant (not recommended) elsewhere a couple years earlier and did not obtain the results I was hoping for. So, of course, my skepticism was even higher than others who had not previously had a procedure done. Regardless, I was still losing hair at a rapid rate and I found myself faced with two options: let my hair fade away and go bald (which would have happened within another year or two); or, roll the dice and try one more time. Needless to say, I elected the second option. A Google search later and I discovered the office of Dr. Bolton. Again, I was still a skeptic, but I saw plenty of reviews from other patients with very successful results. It was worth an inquiry. Upon reaching out, I was welcomed by Josh Engoren who politely and professionally discussed the process of Dr. Bolton's MAXHARVEST procedure. It's uncomfortable to talk about losing your hair and may even come across as vain for wanting to stop this genetically-inherited trait. This being said, it is important to note that Josh made it a comfortable and relaxed discussion. There was also never any pressure to start or follow through with this process. If I had decided the day of the procedure not to follow through, I am confident that Josh and Dr. Bolton would not have treated me any differently and would have still smiled and thanked me for coming out in the first place. The environment is top-tier and you will never feel like you are being forced into a decision. Now for the hair transplant itself. To answer the main question many others and I had first: yes, there is a scar - and no, it is not noticeable. I have a very short haircut (medium fade starting at a zero on the bottom) and there is no evidence of a scar in sight. If you get a skin fade all the way to the top, that'll be a different story. However, the scar itself is very, very thin. Unless someone knew what to look for and happened to have a comb and magnifying glass on them, nobody would ever know you had a procedure done. The only thing that may give it away is the amount of new hair you now have on top of your head! The other big question is the recovery time. If you don't mind anyone else knowing, you could definitely go back to work the next day. My personal recommendation is to give yourself two weeks off. You won't look very pleasant and will be on medication. It's an inevitable part of the process which is best done in comfort. Mr. Engoren and Dr. Bolton will discuss the recovery and growth stages in much greater detail, but it is important to stress that the final results are dependent on how well you take care of yourself, especially in the beginning stages. Again, the results are beyond compare. Some days I forget I ever had hair loss in the first place. Even if you're not quite ready but still have an interest, I highly recommend reaching out to Great Hair Transplants and finding out what they can do for you!

Dr. Bolton and his team were fantastic. Mike kept in touch with me before and after my treatment to answer any questions I had. Dr. Bolton is a true artist in his craft, as I've done hair transplants with other specialists. He knew exactly what he was doing, and the one-to-two hair micrografts around my hairline look fantastic. I wouldn't go to anyone else because he's so wonderful!

His crew is professional, knowledgeable, and meticulous. My first hair surgery with another doctor in the Boca Raton region resulted in some complications in the past. Since I had such a bad ending, I was extremely wary of other doctors and surgical options. Despite my reservations about the previous outcomes and the fact that I was still experiencing substantial hair loss, I decided to contact a member of Dr. Bolton's staff; this is how I met Mr. Joshua Engoren. He was an excellent listener, upbeat but direct and realistic at the same time, describing how Doctor Bolton operates and all the benefits I might expect if I gave myself the chance to start my new adventure with their knowledge and experience. I must admit that, because of my traumas, I was really cautious and hesitant at first, and even harsh to Mr. Engoren. I was hesitant and combative, bombarding him with a barrage of questions, which he easily answered thanks to his knowledge, patience, and professionalism. And I have to admit, allowing them to assist me was one of the best things I've ever done. Period. Dr. Bolton laid up a clear and well-explained strategy for me, and they took care of me from start to finish. Prior to the procedure, he addressed all of my concerns. He created a final hair design plan that is matched to my facial form, needs, and high expectations. And there's no doubt that we've been left behind. In my opinion, the surgery was painless and quick. Throughout the process, I felt relaxed and comfortable but little tired, giving me the feeling that I was taking a reviving afternoon power nap—after that, I went home with all documentation, contact numbers, and details about the care that I needed to take to get the intended results. Dr. Brett Bolton and Mr. Engoren went above and above to make my rehabilitation as painless as possible. I had no problems, and any concerns I had were swiftly addressed, giving me confidence and piece of mind that everything was well and in control. And today, I'm enjoying the fruits of this masterpiece. I will never be able to express my gratitude enough to Dr. Bolton and his colleagues for their unwavering support throughout this ordeal. Dr. Bolton and his entire crew were great! Before the actual treatment, he walked me through the process several times, which went quite smoothly. Dr. Bolton performed our operation on my brother and me around ten years ago. Josh and his team provided a fantastic welcome. Respectful, upbeat vibes, and a fantastic experience. My brother got an excellent grade. I had a previous operation, so I had less donor hair, but the results were still fantastic. Transplanted hairs have clung to the scalp to this day. Scar appears to be in decent shape:-)

My experience with Dr Bolton and Josh has been amazing. I came to Dr Bolton as a very skeptical patient. After years of been scammed by one company after another promising that they "had the cure", I honestly didn't think anything would work.
