There Is A Possible Side Effect From a Hair Surgery Called Hair Transplant Shock Loss
Some people can lose some hair after a hair surgery. This is referred to as a hair transplant shock loss. Hair transplant shock loss can occur in a number of different ways. The first example of hair transplant shock loss is when there is existing hair in an area that is being transplanted into. The surgery causes shock to the area and some of these hairs can fall out. If these hair were programmed to fall out sometime within the next year or so, they will not grow back and be lost forever. However, if these hairs were programmed to remain in the head for years to come, they will grow back. Hair transplant shock loss can also occur when a second procedure is done to increase the density in an area. Even the transplanted hair from the first procedure can “shock out”. However, all of these hairs will grow back. This is not meant to create any panic, if any hair transplant shock loss occurs, it will be only a percentage, not all the hair in the area.
